UI/UX Design for starship adventure sim by League of Geeks.
Unity | Photoshop | Illustrator | Figma
For Jumplight Odyssey I led the design of the games UI & UX, from wire-framing and designing user flows, developing art concepts and icons, and implementing final layouts in Unity.
Over the project I worked closely with the Design team to break down new features and understand how to best present its complex systems. I also worked with the Art leads to develop a visual style for the UI that would effectively capture the games retro anime and sci-fi themes.
An added challenge of the project was that we aimed to develop UX flows for both Keyboard & Mouse and Gamepad in parallel. Due to this, we needed to factor in the UI size and layout standards for Console & SteamDeck, while not neglecting user flows that PC players would be most accustomed to. It led to some creative problem solving and lots of iteration, but I feel we successfully achieved a UI system that was clear and intuitive across both interaction types.
